 Board book by Ruth Spiro.


Most books like this are gimmicky and unappealing to babies. However, this book is an outlier. 

The illustrations are colorful and happy. The text is simple and clear in teaching a single simple concept. It works surprisingly well.

Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes

 Picture book by Eric Litwin. Fun to read story, with a great message about not sweating the small stuff and making lemonade out of life’s lemons. Another highly recommended book in this series is “Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons”. The message of that one: “Buttons come and buttons go, but do we cry? Goodness, no! We keep on singing.” There is also some basic subtraction thrown in.

Be Kind

 Picture book by Pat Zietlow Miller. This is a book about a little girl trying to figure out what it means to be kind. It feels a lot more natural than other books with similar themes.
