 Novel by Julianne Donaldson.

If you want a deep, meaningful book full of symbolism, this is not it.  This is a Regency era romance with a fairly predictable plot.  Having said that, sometimes you just want a book that makes you happy.  I loved the main characters and the aspect of friendship being a vital part of the romance.  And being able to share it with my daughters, as it is utterly "clean" is an added bonus.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and marvelled at Trudy’s dedication despite those men who were determined to stop her.  Book by Brandon Sanderson  This was an utterly charming fantasy/adventure that reminded me a lot of The Princess Bride. I plowed through the audiobook in just two days, listening every chance I could! My only complaint is that I wish it were slightly more standalone, rather than assuming the reader is already familiar with Hoid. However, even without that background knowledge, I believe the book would have widespread appeal. Recommended Age 13+

What If? Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions

 Nonfiction book by Randall Monroe. Nonfiction science is not my preferred genre, but my husband and teens found this audiobook hilarious, and even I was amused. The author takes absurd questions and tries to find actual scientific answers to them, leading to some surprising and entertaining results. As an added bonus, the audiobook is read by Wil Wheaton. Fun for a family car trip.
